About the Author
Comic strip author, Emmanuel went to Volodarka in 2008. With his friend Gildas Chasseboeuf, they were commissioned by Les Dessin'acteurs to bring back a joint book. Profits from sales will be donated to the Children of Chernobyl association. It will be The Flowers of Chernobyl.
Shaken by the strangeness of the experience, and with his documentary approach to the Islands of Desolation, Emmanuel designed his Spring at Chernobyl in 2012. An album where the beauty of the world negotiates with the contaminated.
When the war in Ukraine was announced, Emmanuel offered to sell original plates from A Spring in Chernobyl.
